Eagle River Cold Climbing Adventure

Time and weather reported 5 hours and 40 minutes of daylight and a brutal temp of 3 degrees....but we don't pay attention, because if we did we would never see the beauty that surrounds us in this magical place....ice crystals on the snow, on the trees, and of course in our hair. We would never push ourselves mentally and physically up frozen waterfalls. Nor would we ever see the sun rise and the sun set in the same day or enjoy the beauty of the moon that seems to never set.....

At times I truly feel I am over it, all of it.... and at times I wonder how I ever ended up here and have stayed as long as I have......maybe its the beer waiting for me in the car that keeps me going......because it is in that moment when I arrive from a long day out, and my car beer is frozen...well, all you can do is laugh. Alaska, its different, its crazy, but somewhere in all of it, there is a sense of peace that keeps us all sane......
