Wow! Am I ever behind on my blog postings.....Fall has ended and winter, well, its pretty close to being in full swing....but back to fall for just a moment as truly another highlight of the season. I feel really lucky to have the partners that i do. I've written about that before, so won't go into all the details again. But I have just come off of and am still in this period of time that feels about impossible to coordinate a time, a day, a moment to get out and do some bonding.....so when these moments arise i appreciate everything the experience has to offer.
Ok, way off track on the actual event....CROW PASS! Sherrie keeps saying that this is the longest run she has ever done (24 miles), and I still find it hard to believe....Its been snowing in the mountains and the day definitely started with mixed reports with how much snow to expect....but really it was nothing to worry about. Beautiful blue bird day, lots of friends along the way, fall colors, a cold river. We finished in 6 hours and 59 minutes! Maybe not the Crow Pass fastest of all times, but do those folks ever stop to pee? Enjoy the slide show!

Bomber Traverse....well an attempt.
The Bomber Traverse has been on my list ever since I started going out to Hatchers Pass. This is a modified cut and paste of the hike/run description: This hike begins at the Gold Mint Trail head. Heads back 6.5 miles to a huge hanging valley. Head up the valley to the saddle. Looking down you should see Reed Lake. Glisade the snow slope below to the lake, then follow the Reed Lakes trail back to the road. Round trip distance is approx 15 miles.
Well, that was the idea anyway.
So Tanya and I picked a day and we stuck to it. It actually looked a little promising in the beginning.....but then it started to rain, and then it started to pour and pour and pour..........

Parking Lot Nightmares!
I've never tried the poll feature on blogger before. Guess I don't really have too much to poll. But as I've been running around town, shopping for my new apartment, i have found certain parking lots to be a pain in the ass, leaving me with the feeling that I too might just ram the person in front of me if they don't get out of the way.....Good thing yoga breathing comes to mind in these potential sticky situations. And of course PDF's came out on Friday, so that didn't help much either. As the parking lots have felt as if everyone in Anchorage had to spend their renewable energy allowance on the day the check was issued...well, still trying to think of what Best Buy sells thats renewable.....So, if you have a second, look to the right and click on the parking lot you feel is a local nightmare. I guess blogger doesn't allow folks to enter their own opinion, but I guess you could add a comment! Thanks for reading!
