Happy Holidays Mini-Vaction! (Day One)

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

I couldn't make a decision on where to spend the holidays...And with six days off, it just seemed like I should be going somewhere.....first it was Home (sorry Mom), then Mexico (Sorry hot surfer dudes), then LA (Sorry Su), then Jackson (Sorry Evan), then home, then Mexico, then Jackson...and well, I just ended up staying here....as Here/Home/Alaska, isn't really that bad of place to be, especially when it has been dumping snow and the ice is in fat!

One of my goals this winter is to learn to ski. So day #1 Jason and I headed down to Girdwood for a full day of skiing!

A few hundred wipe outs later we decided to take a break, and we ran into our friend Claudia! Claudia, somehow or another convinced us to take the tram and she would give us some pointers on the way down......(thank you Claudia!) An amazing run off the top of the mountain, and I couldn't believe that I actually made it down the mountain without carrying my skis!! Thats a first!!!! But with screaming thighs I decided it was time to make the switch!! Back on the board!

And just as I was making the switch I ran into Jon and Sue!! It was an awesome afternoon making turns with them...and drinking beer and eating nachos!! Then it was off to meet up with Kyla for a bit of pampering at the resort!
