Even though we awoke to rain, everyone was in high spirits.....
And I will admit my first words of the day were,
"They will cancel the race, right?"
Rick laughed and said, "Cancel the Fireweed? Never!"
But as we biked forward, the end of the front in site,
we quickly biked out of the rain
and had one of the best days of the summer!
I am still debating, is it more fun to do it solo?
or as a team?
Watch the video and you can decide!
13 hours and some odd minutes later I found myself crossing the finish line in Valdez.
And I can not thank my friends enough for the support they provide me for the last 100 miles! Truly, Truly, Truly I could not have done it with out you!
(Kyla, Jessica, Connie, and Tanya did the ride as a team of 4....
around 100 miles they waited for me, slowed down, and provided me with the physical (food) and mental support I need to complete the 200 miles)
Rick and Jason, of course kicked butt!
Jeff was the super sag/photographer of the year!
Anyone up for the 400 next year??
