Hawaii for the Weekend!

One of the benefits of living in Alaska is a spur of the moment, quick flight and a cheap ticket to Hawaii!

Did some amazing hiking and of course played in the water followed by long naps on the beach....This hike was super cool (Mt. Olomana)...the trail narrowed to about 3 feet wide...some 5.4 rock climbing and rappel ropes! Me, totally happy to be warming up after a cold Alaska winter!

These last two photos were taken on a hike called Staircase...hence the name...there were over 5,000 stairs to the top. A beautiful day 2/3rds of the way up...Rain and fog embraced us at the top! Still made for an amazing day!
